Forty-Nine of Three is a publication in the form of a dictionary that focuses on the displacement of language use among migrants. New connotations are being formed for words that relate to the concept of home and belonging that no longer align with the dictionary denotation. This displacement of the English language leads to either incorrect word usage or the feeling of inadequate emotional clarity.
The publication Forty-Nine of Three aims to create a visual guide to the emotional connotations of 200 words of the English language that relate to the concept of home. The words are ordered in emotional order from positive to negative in three different sections.
